Your favorite data-combining tool just got even better with powerful new features and enhancements that will improve your workflow!
Tip. Install the latest version of Combine Sheets from the Google Workspace Marketplace to experience all new features first-hand.
Take more control of your combined data with a new sorting option:
Whether you combine with or without a formula, you can now sort the result by any number of columns in ascending (A>Z) or descending (Z>A) order:
Avoid repetitive setup steps with the new Scenarios feature:
Save your preferred options as a scenario and give it a name:
Run it whenever you need straight from the Google Sheets menu to combine data in the same way:
Tip. Learn how to work with scenarios in this tutorial.
You can now easily share your saved scenarios with teammates, across your Google accounts, or just make backups. Export individual scenarios or all of them at once:
The add-on will save the scenarios as a file on your computer. You can share them with other people by email or uploading to a shared Drive.
Have a scenario file from a teammate? Quickly import it into the add-on to start using preconfigured settings:
All sets of options will be added to your add-on so you could focus on combining data rather than recreating setups:
Gone are the days when Combine Sheets placed your resulting spreadsheet in the root of your Drive automatically. Now, you can browse your Drive to select a specific folder for the output:
Your data will be saved exactly where it belongs right away, keeping your workspace neat and organized:
Sheets missing the required columns are no longer ignored in formula-based combinations. Instead, these sheets are included in the result, ready to display data as soon as the missing columns appear.
Tip. If the sheet is completely empty, and you expect to have the data in them later, you have to add at least a header row for the formula to be able to take the sheet in the result.
The formula now accommodates even more sheets! We've optimized it to reduce the likelihood of hitting the 50k character limit for formulas.
Minor UX improvements make your work with Combine Sheets even more intuitive and similar to navigating Google Drive.
